golf ryder 1.3 1991

i have a problem with the electronics!ALL the lights (inc interior)flash
and sometimes run dim.sometimes they are fine.the bearings went in the
altenator causing it to earth,thus, draining the battery.i put in a new
altenator and voltage regulator but still have the same problem!can anyone
give me any advice on this?cheers!!!dan

Check the battery connections and engine/body earth straps for a start.

think i'v sorted it. i changed the battery, and the voltage regulator to
the old one and cleaned some eart points. would it cause a problem if 1 of
the voltage regulators was 14.5v and 1 was 14v?
