I have a brand new R32 bought in July. Since I got it, it has now spent
more time in the dealers' workshop than in my garage and I've done more
miles in loan cars than in my own. The problem is a random electronic
failure which sometimes causes the immobiliser to refuse to let the car
start and other times gives incorrect warnings of zero oil pressure or air
bag failure.
I'd like to know if this is a known problem - anyone come across it?

If I were you, given the car is only approx 3 months old - insist they take
it back and get you a replacement.

result - are you getting another one, if so, how long is the wait?
Don't mean to scare you but..... we had our house broke into last Saturday
morning (whilst we were in bed). Only stole wallets and handbags thankfully.
Copper that came said they were after our car (Golf mk5 GTI). Apparantly he
attended another break in the same week where a Golf R32 had been taken -
again broke into the house and stole the keys.
Thankfully the scum bags never found our keys!
