Hmmm. I'm not certain, but I think the Driver is a CL with a GTI grille
and arches. Certainly the engine was originally just the 75BHP 1.6 (like
I had), then later the 90 Bhp 1.8.
Whatever, the driver handles OK: of the roll is really bad, something is
worn out.

If they're the same as GTI, they should be Bilstein gas shocks. I've no idea
if they actually are or not...

Wouldn't body roll be 'controlled' by the anti roll bar?
Has the bar become detached, or the bushes knackered perhaps?

possibly... they bounce when weight is on them instead of absorbing
the weight and settling quickly
over uneven surfaces it judders harshly and handling is affect at
higher speeds
