If they're like MK2 Golf rear calipers, the piston needs to wind back in on
a screw. Fairly easy to do. The PITA thing on a MK2 is that the rear wheel
bearings are in disk - there is no seperate hub, just a stub axle, a wheel
bearing and the disk, and it's a pain in the arse to fit them without a
press. It's doable, but it's a pain. I suspect MK4s won't have altered
*that* much. The other thing is that the handbrake mech on a mk2 needs to be
fairly carefully set up - if there's no slack when the handbrakes down, they
never self adjust.

Hopefully should be a straigh forward job from the sounds of it. Famous last
words :)
Might even paint the rear calipers while I'm at it in fire engine red hehe
It's very straightforward assuming you have the right rewind tool.
Halfords sell one for about £20.
