Nuts, heated rear screen had packed up on our mk4 golf 1.6 01 car.
Check the fuse, and is fine. The heated rear screen button goes yellow when
you press it instead on red which is odd.
Not faults are coming up on vag com.
Anyone any ideas of what I can try ?
Thanks

Check to see how far down the wire you are getting power, don't know the
mk4, but usually the part in the flexi hose between the car & tailgate
will be a weak point.

Really appreciate the post.
I've checked there and can see no problems at all. All wires ok, not frayed
or broken.

Have you checked how far up you are getting power with a multimeter.
Always the easiest way to trace a fault I've found.
