You probably won't be able to get in there with an impact driver.
I bought 4 new bolts from the VW stealership at the total cost of one pound
and used molegrips to loosen the old one.
Oh, and make sure you have a G clamp or similar to hand to make the pistons
retract ( I had to cycle to B&Q, while the car was in bits :))

You should check if you need the special tool for pushing the piston back
in. It needs to push AND turn the piston if it's anything like the Corrado.
Just pushing doesn't work on the rear brakes, probably not without breaking
something at least !

I went to a VW dealer and bought four new bolts. They were over ?1 each, and
were ordinary hex-headed bolts - i.e. no hex socket.
I said they were the wrong ones and was told they had changed the design
because the others were so hard to undo.
I have the special tool for retracting the pistons.
I'll try again this weekend.
