My 1986 T25 Campervan 1.6 Td has a dodgy gearbox - can't find 3rd going down from 4th, you have to double declutch (not a major problem, but my wife isn't happy about it). Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of repair? (I presume it's the synchro gone?) Would it be easier to just replace the gearbox? Cheers! Chances are everything else is a bit worn, so it's probably best to get a recon box, or have yours rebuilt. |
