XC90 Front end "Crunch"

I have an '05 XC90 that has an occassional crunching noise in the front end
(turning, backing, sometimes braking).  Some time ago, the tie rods were
replaced under a service notice, and the crunch appeared after that.  The
dealer has looked at this about 3 or 4 times, re-torqued some bolts and
greased up the front end, but the crunch returns after several days.  They
say all is fine, but it seems to me it shouldn't be doing this.

Has anyone had a similar problem, or any thoughts about what's causing this?

Thanx in advance.

I'v had the same on my car for a while now. No other issues than the
occations "crunch" on right side. We also had the tie rods replaced
(recall as I remember) and they can't find any problems with is. I
have learned to live with it but every time it goes to shop I remind
them to look..

For me it happens either in a sharp slow turn such as roundabout or
over a speedbump

if anyone has more information I'd like to know more about this too.
