AC/Heater Fan Motor

I noticed this in the winter and it progressively got worse, but when
I turn on my AC or Heater the air movement out of the front cluster
panel vents is little to zero. The defroster works well, the air
eventually gets into the car as the car does somewhat cool and heat,
but no real air pressure is felt from the front vents.

Is their two motors or is there a baffle that could be causing a
problem? I know this is throwing darts at a wall to analyze over the
internet.

If this is indicative of a fan motor out, how do I replace it and
where would I start?

Thanks,
Tim

In what car? Some sort of Volvo I assume? There were several completely
different designs over the years, they all have just one blower motor
though.

Sorry good point. 2001, S80, non-turbo, unfortunately.

Are you familiar with the controls that divert the air to the defroster,
the chest high vents and the floor vents.  The chest high vents are the
normal vents for AC and the floor vents for heat.  The defroster vents
are used as needed.  They can be used automatically or manually.  Make
sure the controls give air to the vents in question and that they vents
are individually turned on.  The chest high vents have turnoffs on them,
make sure they are turned on.
