HI,

I had to boost my S70 Volvo.  I had forgotten the radio code. I played
with different codes before the radio shows OFF.   I looked my code up
on my selling contract.  Now I have my code but I can't entered it up
because the radio constantly shows OFF.  Can someone tell me what I
can do to reset the radio so I can entered the code again.

Thanks for your help

Key in position 1 for about 30mins (engine off) radio on, and it should
eventually revert to being able to accept a code.

If you call your dealer and give them the VIN, they can give you the
radio reset code. Be sure to write it down WHERE YOU CAN FIND IT for
future use. When you need to change the battery, you wil need it
again.

The radio will only display EEE or OFF when the wrong code has been entered
and the radio is locked depending on model - this is due to the battery
being disconnected and the incorrect radio code being entered 3 times. You
will neet to reset the radio. To do this the radio has to be on for either 2
or 4 hours.

This info was on the forum at www.matthewsvolvosite.com

Alternate method is to pull the radio fuse/relay to remove power from the
radio to cause the original "no power" to the radio. When you plug them back
in, you should get the CODE message and can enter the correct radio code.

I have the same problem with my s70 radio.  I already know my code but
I'm concerned about leaving the car on in position 2 for 2 to 4
hours.  Where is the radio/relay fuse and how do I get to it?

That will not work as the radio has a memory that will not reset unless
it is left on for the required amount of time
