S60 centre console issues

I have a S60R (and I love it!), however I have been dumb enough to put two
pens in the flip lid compartment which have jammed themself into the flip
lid recess section and now stop the lid from opening up completely and the
pens are not wanting to come out.

Does anyone know an easy way of getting the pens out without breaking
anything? I can see that the portion of the centre console that holds the
handbrake shroud easily comes off however is there any other areas where I
can get access to closer to the pens, or do I have to take the flip top lid
itself off, if so, how do I do that without breaking it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Fixed it yet?

I had a lighter jammed in mine once so I know exactly what you mean :)

I don't remember how it got it out but it must have been by hooking
the obstruction out via the slim gap aound the lid as I have just had
a look and the lid will only come off when it is open.

I can take a few photos if it will help.
