I hate top posting but now I'm kinda stuck.
I would concur with the Garmin recommendation. We have Street Pilot
which was an incredible deal (still don't see them for as little as I
paid) and it is amazing. I have been in another car that had a Garmin
Nuvi and that sucker even pronounced the names of the streets on which
to turn.
Now our S-I-L has a built-in nav system in his Lexus but it was
incredibly expensive to buy, is incredibly expensive to update, can't
be moved from one vehicle to another and can't talk to you.
Garmin's my choice.

there are some nice suction cup mounts...that stick on
glass, plastic, etc...and make the mounting a snap...i like
the 496 garmin...seems to have about everything (and more)
than i need.......i am guessing i could spend hours learning
about features i don't even use right now....at least according
to the training cd's and manuals...cheers...
