Anyone know where I can find a 240s "speed sensor"?

My sons 1992 244 was in the shop today and the mechanic felt the "speed sensor"
needed to be replaced. I'm pretty sure he meant (what I've heard called) the
crank speed sensor. But, I've never dealt with it before (in the six Volvos I've
owned).
I looked on swedishbricks.com and couldn't find it. I found it as a part on ipd
but no info on where it would be.

Where is it? Is this thing hard to replace?

Thanks for any info.

If it's the crank angle sensor it shouldn't be too costly.
I replaced the crank angle sensor on my 940GLE at about 230,000km it only
cost about $120 Australian for the part, about the same as a friend spent on
a replacement 940 wheel trim.  Sometimes with volvo, non essentials are
costly and other important parts are pretty good.
Hope you find what you are looking for at a good price.
Jeff

Not sure what the problem is but there is such a thing on later 240s
called the crank or flywheel angle sensor. I had mine replaced on my
'93 by my mechanic when the car would sometimes start and sometimes
not. Excluding the towing charge, the part and labor weren't bad.

I understand this sensor is at the back of the engine near the top of
the bell housing but I've never done the work myself.
