1996 855. Drivers side headlight (Right hand drive) main beam not
working. Suspected bulb so removed and inspected. Looked ok so
substituted with bulb from LHS. Bulb working fine. Checked fuses
Looked ok for both RHS and LHS. Swapped to be sure there was no
problem with the fuses, which there was not.

Disconnected wiring connectors to the light units. Cleaned and
"jiggled" the connectors.

Drivers side light still not working.

What else can I try? Suggestions gratefully accepted

Check the bulb failure sensor. Cracked solder joint on the circuit board
inside that will cause a particular light to not work.

Thanks for that suggestion. Worth checking. Can anyone point me to the
location of the sensor? I am hoping it is in the engine bay not behind
the dash :)
