Hi.  I'm the new owner of a used '96 850 GLT wagon, purchase on eBay
without the manual.  Can anyone tell me how to open the child booster
seat installed in the center of the back seat?  It comes about 1/3rd
of the way down, then stops.

Many thanks!

Normally you pull it down in the closed position (i.e in 'armrest mode) and
then open it up.

It sounds like the mechanism is broken, sorry.

On my 850 my Volvo garage replaced the booster seat mechanism for free
because there was a Volvo concern about it.
