From a previos post I seem to have internal rust problems with a six\seven

Can anyone help with the general terms and conditions of the Volvo rust
warranty?

You should have been supplied with a little booklet (in addition to the
driver's handbook) which explains all about the warranty.

A summary of the information supplied with my 1999 V70 is:
* cosmetic body defects are covered for 3 years from new
* rust perforations of the bodywork originating from the *inside* surface of
a panel (thus excluding anything caused by stone damage etc on the outside)
are covered for 8 years from new
PROVIDED THAT the car has been serviced in accordance with the schedule laid
down by Volvo and that an annual rust inspection has been carried out by an
authorised Volvo dealer, and the service record duly stamped.

IF it has been serviced by a Volvo dealer, there will be a copy of the
records on Volvo's computer system even if you have no paperwork yourself.
Any Volvo dealer should be able to retrieve them for you.
