Seasons greetings to you all,

Two quick questions, does anyone know if the PV series were ever imported
into Australia?

Second question.  Put in a new air filter for the 79 245 and I pulled off
the hose from the filter box to the bottom of the throttle body.  There was
an amount of oil in the bottom of the throttle body.  I checked the flame
trap and it is not blocked.  Does this mean stuffed rings?  The beast has
about 400K on it.  It is also sometimes a pain when starting hot.  A mate
mentioned this could be rings and low compression.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Paul

Sorry, another one.

Why does my 84 240 have a restricted hose from the filter box to the
throttle body?  Would I be better off getting the older hose which is all
the same diameter, or is there some advantage in this style of hose?

Thanks again,

Paul
