I have to replace both front control arm bushings on both sides.  Are any
special tools needed becises a spring compressor.  Is this a job someone who
can change struts can do?  Any tips?  Should the ball joints be replaced at
the same time since everything will be apart?  The car has 120000 miles on
it.
Thanks for the help

You don't need to dismantle the struts to change control arm bushings.
The ball joints are fairly easy to change and I wouldn't unless they've
developped some play.
