I blew two M46 trannies, one cast iron and other Aluminum housing. It happened while I was in gear and accelerating hard on a cold day with 17lb of boost. Since than I switched over to T5 transmission from a five liter mustang. It is holding up rather well. The Ford T-5 is a 5 speed manual gearbox. You need an adapter plate made but there is help. Visit turbobricks.
