My DL has been intermittantly missing.  Some days, no problems, other days
engine misses and stalls. Drove to work Sat. with both low and high speed
miss and stalled while idling at a stop.  It almost seem like it starves for
gas also.
The car would not start an hour later.
There is no spark at the plug or at the distributor.  Coil resistance is
good.
The fuel pump runs (doesn't sound smooth though) when I jump at fuse box.
I don't feel its a fuel problem.
The relay solder joints look O.K.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

Check the wiring harness, both to the ECU, and
to the second ECU under the hood.

its to control the ignition.  its under the
hood and susceptible to environmental factors.
plus the wiring harness for the ICM is just as
bad as the harness for the ECM, disintegrates
into powder after 10 years or so.  check for
openings on the wires, and cover em up, or replace
the harness.

lots of guys on the forum know where to get
harnesses, i bought mine off of some guy from
ebay.

Is it true that "if the cable to the second ECU under the hood, that harness
has to be replaced" ?

Thanks for the advice!  What is a good source for an accurate wiring diagram
for my specific car.  I have a Haynes manual that have multiple diagrams but
does not mention my 1985 DL specifically.
