Hi,
I own a 1998 MY V70 and consider buying a second hand stereo, th
Bigfront Volvo SC-805; I may keep this car for many more years or trad
it in for a new V70 (MY 2001-); before buying this expensive set: woul
it fit in the "new" V70 (MY 2001-) eventually?

No, not without lots of modification. Just compare the shape of the
faceplates.
