Hello,

We shipped our 240 87 wagon over to France 5 years ago from LA. It has
run very well!

On Sunday afternoon I took it for a 10 minute journey. 2 hours later, I
returned home. Later that eveing I was unable to start it. Perhaps I
should say that it seemd to start, but it would not run...I had to keep
pumping on the accelerator to keep it running, but it was very jerky.
If I let off on the accelarator, it died.

Today I did the following:

1) Checked for good spark - no problem
2) Removed fuses #4 and #6 and inspected and cleaned and also cleaned
the contacts of the fuse holders for those slots. Re-inserted fuses.
3) Inspected the large fuse behind the battery. OK
4) Removed fuse #4 and jumpered a wire from fuse #6 to the right and
left of fuse slots #4. I could hear 2 different "buzzing" sounds.
Re-inserted fuse #4
5) Disconnected the lower hose from the fuel tank/pump(s) that feeds
the fuel injectors via a small vacum control. Observed little or no
flow when cranking the engine.

Now the engine does not even begin to start as it did earlier.
