Yikes, that is terrifying. I continue to be shocked that Volvo paid so
little attention to the accessibility of that component for servicing.
Shades of the nightmare HVAC blower fan on the 240 design.

Hey - that's what my 760 looks like when I have to get to the heater core (3
times so far!)

Yes, I had to have that done last summer. Replaced the heater core and
hoses while we were in there as well...
