Just curious if anyone here has had an issue with Volvo concerning
warranty coveraage on a wildshield which had cracked for no apparent
reason?
This happened to me and I was less than happy with the way it was
handled by both the local dealer and Volvo USA.
I am guessing by the way it was ultimately handled that there are more
than a few similar cases out there. Your response would be greatly
appreciated.

Not with Volvo, but with Toyota....

The service manager ran a ballpoint pen along the crack to see if it grew
from a chip (pen hangs in chip) or if it was spontaneous. Spontaneous =
manufacturer pays, chip = owner or insurance pays.
