What's the story on the S60 R?

What year did it debut? Is it available in the US?

Also, what is the difference in power between the S60 T5 and the S60 2.4T
(2002-2003 years)?

Thanks.

Bryce.

It came as 2004 model.

As far as i know (i'm swedish) it's available in the us, have seen a few
4sale on eBay.

S60 2.4T: 200 Hp
S60 T5 -05: 250 Hp
S60 T5 05-: 260 Hp

The actual difference between the two engines is only boost pressure

Someone actually told me I'd be happier with the 2.4T 200HP performance and
turbo response (lower end) than the T5 250 HP performance and turbo response
(high end).

Could this be true?

Would the T5 be better for highway speed exceleration and the 2.4T be better
for "off the line" exceleration?

Could the 2.4T, 2.5T possible be better than the T5??

Thanks.

Bryce.

In terms of what?

BTW: S60R has 300HP and much better suspension than the others.
