v-70 starting

The engine turns over normally but you get the impression that if you
continued there would be a flat battery

So does this happen when the weather is particularly cold and damp, for
example, or when the weather is really hot? Or is it just a random
occurrence? More clues needed!

Random occurrence.  The  weather seems to make no difference.  About once
in 100 starts.  I can see no other symptoms prior to occurrence.  Very
frustrating!!
