Power lock-key fob programming

Greetings-My gf's  '96 850 wagon was in the auto body shop recently to
repair deer damage. While there, apparently the lot kid really didn't know
how to drive a stick and whaled the drivers door against something hard
enough that the shop replaced the door and re-painted the entire vehicle for
nothing. Anyway, when I picked it up the door unlocked chimes wouldn't shut
off, gas door wouldn't open, and none of the interior lights worked and the
remote entry didn't unlock. They took it back grumbling about having to take
it to the dealer, but called bright and early the next day and said 'come
and get it'. Seems the only change was the key fob was now programmed so the
car "knew who I was" Everything worked fine, with my keys. My gf's keys
won't unlock [or lock] and the manual lock will not work correctly. First
step is to get it to recognize the keys then work on any other issues after
that. Any know how on programming remote keyless entry?  Thanks in advance

It is in the owner's manual, but in case you don't have yours, try this:

Close all doors, hood and trunk.
Switch the ignition on and off, (pos II) within 10 sec, 5 times. Leave
the Ignition "ON" the fifth time.
Push one of the two buttons on the remote within 15 sec.. You will see
the LED blinking for a moment.
Program the second remote within 10 sec. after the first one. You can
program max. 4 remote controls.
