Is it possible to replace the door stop 'spring' in the lower door hinge
without replacing removing or replacing the entire hinge? Thanks.
Peter K L Milnes - 07 Feb 2006 00:21 GMT
With difficulty. The usual cause of the spring breaking is lack of
lubricating maintenance, particularly the rollers abutting the spring. You
may need to remove the hinge, just put it back how it was (support door
while hinge is off).

All the best, Peter.
