I'd say it isn't. Diesels run at different temps than a gasoline engine.
I would think that they are not compatible as the diesel usually requires
more coolant capacity than a petrol engined car.

Sorry I cant see why a larger radiator would be an issue as the thermostat
wont open till its warm enough anyway ?
