Hi,

Just curious how they compare: 06 XC70 vs. 06 A6 quattro wagon. The A6 is
~$10K more expensive than the XC70 - is such price difference justified?
The criteria (that interest me most) are:

1. Reliability;
2. Safety;
3. Handling;
4. Acceleration;
5. Fuel economy;
6. Quietness;

I checked Consumer Reports online, but am interested in people's opinions.

When they introduced the XC, there was a head to head comparison of the
AWD mechanisms on a ramp that was half covered with wet ice.  The Volvo
was the winner by a large margin.  That was before the Volvo went to
Haldex.  I don't know how it would compare not.  I have one of the least
reliable years for the XC70 (2001) and it has been rock solid with no
problems and excellent performance.
