Does anyone know; will the tail lights (lens covers) from a 1984 GL
sedan fit a 1987 GL sedan?

Yes, but...
The '84 will not have rear fog lights, so the brake lights are in a
different place. This is not a problem if you're changing both. (And
some won't think it's a problem even if changing only one.) Also, the
horizontal dividing strip is chrome on some taillights, black on others.
