Anyone cross reference an alternator for 1987 740?

I know some parts are interchangeable, so I priced rebuilt alternators
at AutoZone and places like FCP Groton.

Seems the standard price is about $140 + core. I priced 1987 chevys and
they came to about $70 - roughly half.

So, anyone know of another brand that works?

Please disregard - not necessary. The mechanic had the alternator wired
incorrectly. All is well with the voltage now.
