Howdy folks

Has anyone ever tried to put an American turning signal lense on the
housing of a European turn signal unit?  I'm living in Europe, like the
lenses that are used in America (the oranje reflector from top to
bottom) but would like to keep my original (European) wiring and
reflectors (two bulbs).

BTW what kind of plastic are these lenses made of?

best check the EU regs on lamps and lenses to be sure that is not a
gotcha here about simply changing lenses. you may have trouble with the
next safety inspection.

What car? I know with the 740 they're completely different, I went the
opposite way around by necessity of converting to E-code headlamps. You
can get aftermarket lenses, I've seen them on European Volvos.

Hi,
Atleast for the 200-series, the lense will not fit directly!
However, you can buy the complete assembly on ebay for approx. 20-40$! (if it's
the new type 240 lense).

I did the opposite, so I am sure you can do a retrofit of the whole
assembly. Here in the US I put eCode headlamps and turn signals. The
turn signals are pretty cheap, so best you do the whole assembly.
Can't say about only the lens.

Try this:

I xecond this.
I imported some lenses from ebay and they do not fit 100%.
Also ,the turnsignals will need some mods, if you import the entire assembly!
Though, that might be easier.

It's not very hard, inless you've got ten thumbs.
