940 fuel problem

yipeeeee!!! i think(more like hope). i have cured the problem with my car
suddenly cutting out.changed in tank pump.no change. took fuel pump relay
out and cover off relay,all looked ok.car still kept stoping.took cover
back off relay and looked at the soldered joints under a magnifing glass,
and some some of the joints had hairline cracks in them.touched up all the
joints with a soldering iron and all now a week later seems fine (i hope).

One other thing you could do to the relay is put some contact cleaner
on a bit of white paper and run it through the contacts inside, to
remove carbon.
