I recently applied a polish to my Volvo XC90, and in the process hit some of
the black plastic trim pieces --- and where I hit has dried to a white mark
that won't wash off.  Any ideas about what will remove this wax/polish
residue on the black plastic trim?

search the 'net for an auto detailing forum...   I read on a website that
Mineral Spirits will work.   Also saw this on the "Nu Finish" website's FAQ
http://www.nufinish.com/faq.html

Some auto detailers use that blue colored 'low stick' painter's tape to mask
those areas for just that reason.

Good luck.

Thank you.  The Nu-Finish (which is what I used) site explained it.
