Sure, but I'm surprised how easily it's happened with our V70 - not seen in
other cars we've had to this extent.

In truth the 2001-2007 V70 doors do dent very easily. The material is very
thin and the projection strip is place to low on the car to-do any good.
You can see how fragile the rear doors are by pushing on the sheet metal
of the rear doors. I'm always looking for "safe" parking places but still
have three dents. All my 200 series cars had dings but not dents. One
thing with the dent it does not ding the paint. That¹s right the doors are
that soft no chip paint just a dent. One owner¹s opinion. Tom

I have a 1998 V70 XC with all of the AWFUL plastic body cladding on the
side, but I can say that it is good for preventing dings. I don't have
any, and I've been hit by some doors: they just bounce off of the
plastic molding.
