If you have a 760 V6 GLE of about 87/88 and you have an external air
temperature gauge [bottom left hand corner of the dashboard under the fuel
gauge] with lcd type display......... does it light up with the panel
lights, I thought mine did once but perhaps not?
I know you get a nice red led at 2degC and below but being able to read it
at night would be nice.
Not show in my Haynes manual needless to say.

Thanks, Bob Green, UK.

It probably has a burned out bulb, remove the cluster and have a look,
it's only two screws. They're hidden under the covers around the clock
set and dimmer knobs.
