My tailgate won't stay up so I ordered a pair of new struts from
eeuroparts on ebay but I can't figure out how to get them installed.
They are about 1/4 inch longet than the old ones and with the tailgate
pushed up as hard as possible they still are too long to snap the
socket onto the ball.
Any sugesstions on how to get theses suckers to fit?
Thanks,
Bill

Can you compress the new struts slightly with one end attached? It may
be that they need to be slightly compressed on installation.
