240 heter core or?

91 240 beater has developed what could pass as a heater core leak except that
when the windows fog up after starting the car I do not smell the antifreeze
but instead it smells more like something electrical burning. The heater
motor was replaced last year and works well on all speeds. Before I start
digging can someone give me a clue.

Sounds like the heater core to me. Could be the valve or hoses leaking
but that'd be easy to verify by removing the side panels around the console.
