Hi,
I have a 2000 V-70, this morning the light/ LED next to the odometer on
the right hand side came on.  I hadn't even noticed that there was a
LED here (it has a star kinda symbol around it) and when I looked in
the user manual it is not even listed.

Does anyone know what this is for?

Thanks in advance!
Nick

Cutoff on the cars i'm familiar with is 36 degrees.  But shouldn't
there be an outside temp gauge too?

Nick,

It senses the road surface temperature.  Mine comes on at +2?C. It
also goes out when it falls below -6? (or somewhere round there).

Thanks for the replies!  Yes - it froze out here today.  So is it just
an informational light or does it neccesiate any action?

Regards!

It just notifies you of freezing conditions so you can be cautious. In
areas prone to black ice the warning is useful.

Ummm... it signals that it's time to actually *read* your Owner's Manual...
some of that stuff is actually about safety... ;-)
