alternator interchange

79 Volvo 240 wagon with AC,need to know what year and models of Volvo
alternators interchange with this model.

At least '78-'93 240 series, '83-'91+ 740 and 760 series will drop right
in. Your best bet will be an '86+ 240 or 740 since they have at least a
70A internally regulated alternator. The 700 turbos have 100A alternators.
