Too bad it's all History now, sure wished they would make them like that
again.

Agree 100% and the best with these good old Volvos,they still runs,quality.
Todays car has to much electronics and is not that reliable so in my dreams
the time when quality ruled would be back:-)

I loved my various 544's, 122's, & 144's but I wouldn't trade my S-40 & S-60
for any of them.  The old guys were easy to work on, which was A Good
Thing(tm) as I spent plenty of time replacing points, plugs, exhaust
systems, suspension parts, etc., not to mention they joy of trying to synch
up a pair of SU's once they got some miles on them.  The early one's may
have been the safest around then but, compared with today's Volvos, they're
death traps.
