I daily-drive a 1985 Volvo 240GL, 180,000 miles. The metal rocker
panels are rusting, how difficult is it to replace them and where can
I find instrux?

Thanks.

Here are some instructions which might be of assistance.

I hope you can weld.

You'll probably have to find a wrecked 240 without rust to cut the
panels out of, or if you're good with sheetmetal you can fabricate new
ones. It's a lot of work, and personally I can't imagine why someone
would bother, once those rust out there's sure to be more hidden rust on
the car. I'd just part it out and buy a rust-free 240, but then those
are apparently hard to find in places where cars rust.
