Recently the cruise control sometimes drops out while at highway speed.
Attempt to re-engage sometimes works but often doesn't.  Does anyone
know whether the Eletronic Throttle Module has anything to do with
controlling the cruise control?  Could there be a connection between
this drop-out symptom and some glitch in the ETM?

Would appreciate any opinions.  Thanks.

Yes.  The cruise control is just software.  Any ETM problems will shut
down the cruise control.

Replace tt with t (twice!) and remove parentheses to email me directly.
(But I check the newsgroup more often than this email address.)

Check w volvo dealership, I think there was a recall and an extended
warranty for the throttle do-hickey.
