Variable intermittent wiper

I had kept an old post about the VW part that fits 240s to make a
variable intermittent wiper. My hard drive crashed and I lost my
history.

Would appreciate knowing the VW part number that accomplishes this.
Also, will the same thing work on a '97 850?

Try the Variable Wiper Relay from IPD.

I put VW/AUDI part 3BO-955-531 into my 1995 854T. It works like a
charm.

Other instructions I've seen says it takes the place of the relay in
position #9 up under the dash above the brake pedal, which has a large
271 printed on the top.

But when I look in my spare parts bin, the one I *THINK* I took out of
my Volvo has a red body and the code

L
203

in white letters on the top. It has the number 9140663 on the side.

I can't say whether it will work in a '97.

Thanks. The last I recalled, they didn't have one but I just checked
the latest catalog that came last week as, sho 'nuff, there it is.
