Trunk lock

Hy people!!!

As the most of you know I have a 97' S40...
For aboun one month I'm noticing that my trunk lock want open with the
remote, I have to omen it with the key evry time, amy suggestions

Try replacing the battery in the remote.  It worked on my car.

I had the same problem w/ my '01 S40.  The locking mechanism is all plastic
and a little piece broke off that controls the trunk lock release button.  I
could hear the mechanism latching and unlatching when I used the remote but
the lock itself wouldn't be thrown.  The whole mechanism needs to be
replaced.  I didn't do it myself - the bodyshop took care of it from a
rear-ender so I don't know how much the part is but it looks to be a fairly
easy do-it-yourself job.

I,ve changed the bateries, but I belive it's in the mechanism, today after
work I'll try it to repair! If it needs to be replacet than I'm gonna look
for some crushed volvos on the dump yard, much cheaper!!! hihihi
