some help on fitting aftermarket cd changer to 2000 s80, sorry wrong email addr

hi

have a built in cd player, radio ect hcu601, can i fit a changer in
the boot, as i have all the cables but not sure if will plug into my
unit.

Only the 10-cd changer sold by volvo (made by mitsubishi electronics) is
compatible with this HU. It has a proprietary network (melbus). The
changer can't handle mp3's.

The changers sometimes turn up on ebay.

A better bet is one of these: www.imiv.ca and an ipod.
