Am looking at a car long distance (photos and verbal descritpions),
the salesman seems okay - but I've been burned before, so would like
to know about any experiences good or bad with the sales operation.

Thanks

Mat.

Used car salesmen are in my experience willing to overlook details
that most of us would find significant. That you have been apparently
burned before on remote deals should provide you with sufficient
warning about the potential for trouble.

I can't imagine buying a car long distance without having a set of
eyes look it over first.  Suggest that you find a way to have a local
mechanic give it a once over.  Or buy the car with a 30 day right to
return for full refund.
