Hi Everyone...
Had the '68 on the hoist this weekend, and I noticed that the mounting parts
for the stabilizer bar were somewhat worn...no biggie...the kit was like $10
from VW...question is, how difficult is it to replace the bushing that hold
the stabilizer bar on the vehicle? I also ordered a new stabilizer bar
for...get this $15...German NOS parts...gotta love 'em. Anyway, is the
stabilizer bar easily removed and replaced?
Thanks,
Pete

If you choose to go with a screw clamp kit like the one Aircooled.net sells
it is easy, if you choose the stock style...It's a bitch.. having to try to
hold the thing together whilst sliding the triangular/V-shape/cone(whatever)
lock part all the way home and then bend the end of it to lock it in
place....

I just don't understand why everyone pitches such a bitch about the stock V
shaped clamps. Go out and buy a giant pair of channel lock pliers you cheap
bastards! That's all it takes.
Sheesh, even a skin flint like me has spent the money for this, and lemme
tell you......I'm the kinda guy who re-uses TP LOL!
