instructions reset vw radio

Had a new battery put in and forgot how to reset radio. I have the code
#, ust forgot the steps. Any help would be appreciated

push mode and scan simultaneously for a couple seconds,  enter code.
push mode and scan at the same time again until frequecy shows up.
